Female Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Full Time Post NJC Scale Point 26-28 Including OLW (Under Review)

NAADV is a local specialist agency in the field of domestic violence support providing practical and emotional support services for individuals and families.

The IDVA will provide risk assessment to high/medium victims of Domestic Violence, provide advocacy and advice information and support to victims of Domestic Violence focusing an improved safety and reducing repeat victimisation liaison with court and police.

Relevant criteria:-
1. Experience of working with survivors of Domestic Violence at a crisis stage particularly conducting safety planning.
2. Ability to work in partnership with criminal justice system agencies and relevant statutory and voluntary groups.
3. Counselling experience and/or diploma
4. A good working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation in providing effective domestic violence support.
